CELEBRITY POKER GALA HOSTED BY MONTEL WILIAMS

Now and again events are being held to aid those in need, and the poker world could not be absent from helping such humanitarian causes. Usually it's an extraordinary event, aimed at raising the awareness levels of those interested about the various diseases, children with special situations or even large areas that have been war torn and their inhabitants are left with little else than what they can carry.

Montel Williams, who needs no introduction, will be hosting such an event in the aid of Multiple Sclerosis charities tomorrow, and the entire world will be able to view it in the comfort of their homes, as it will be streamed online for a better impact on the target public and not only. Everybody interested will be able to connect to the transmission, not just poker fans, and the event will be transmitted in the pay per view system, the best means for generating the all so much needed money.

The prime time TV show host has repeatedly pledged his time and capabilities to helping find a cure for MS, with founding the Montel Williams MS foundation and going public about his battle against the degenerative illness in 1999. All of the contributions made by individuals during the gala will go directly to research institutions that are working on researching the disease and finding a way to put an end to it.

The Poker Gala will be themed around a roaring twenties speakeasy, as 777 reports, with attendees being nothing less than stars themselves. Poker pros and celebrities will be competing for prizes, but those winning at the end will most definitely be the people suffering from Multiple Sclerosis, a progressive, incurable, usually fatal disease of motor neurons, affecting the brain and spinal cord, and more often than not resulting in damage to all systems in the body. In case you're not quite sure what it is and if the medical terms used baffle you, an example that would clear things up is in order, and you've most definitely heard of him: famous scientist Stephen Hawking.

It won't be only full, hardcore poker playing at the gala, there'll also be loads of entertainment with live music and even poker lessons delivered from the pros attending. Speaking of pros, let's name a few of those attending: Annie Duke, Jamie Gold, Susie Isaacs, and Russ Hamilton. To see them in action all you need to do is pay the $9.95 fee and then simply connect to the streaming, that is to begin half an hour before the festivities' start - at 7:00 PM Eastern Time.
